Sorry my previous blog referred to Article V 1.2 and 2.1 should have been Article VI Article V - 2.0- 2 car and 2 boat stickers are unfair. Some people have more than 2 cars or 2 boats. The membership actually voted to allow members to purchase additional stickers a few years ago but this was not adhered to. We have 2 canoes and 2 boats and have never taken one fish out of the lake. Some people with only one boat take an abundance of fish out of the lake; so I don't understand why we have to limit stickers.
I posted 2 blogs but only one appears so I will try again. Since grantee is defined in Article I, should the word grantee be used instead of membership. Article III- Do BOD have to physically attend meetings or can it be done by conference call? 9.0 Reasonable expenses should be defined not as BOD sees fit. Article VI - 1.2. BOD should not have the authority to adjust dues, it should only be done by the membership at a general meeting.2.1 - lesser amount should be defined as 25% Article VIII - why only 3 proxies Article XII - Votes on bi-law changes and/or amendments should only be taken at a General Meeting when most of the owners can attend. Previous Articles XV and XVI have been eliminated. Shouldn't only the parts which refer to the water company be eliminated?
I think By Law amendments should only be approved by the membership. This is what is stated in Article XIX of our current By Laws.
